Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phones provider, has announced that the sales of the Samsung Star have surpassed 30 million units. The Samsung Star reached this milestone faster than any other devices in Samsung's history, launched in May 2009.
The Star has consistently sold well since its first release, hitting the 10 million sales mark after only six months and 20 million in just one year.

Across all Europe, where it first became available, the Star has sold 15 million units; it achieved similar success in Latin America (5 million units), Russia (3 million units) and China (1 million units). Notably, the Samsung Star has also topped bestseller phone lists in Germany and Austria.
The Star mobile phone becomes the second Samsung mobile phone to sell 30 million units, with the Samsung E250 previously achieving this feat – however, the Star has reached this milestone in a little over half the time, demonstrating the growth and evolution in the mobile industry.
Created for the next generation of mobile users with a stylish design and powerful multimedia features, the Star has been promoted through localized marketing programs tailored to each region and country. Samsung has held experiential Mobile Live events across the globe in Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa and in Southeast Asia.
